Our main line of product is our recessed, heel safe and self supporting Storm water grates, Driveway grates, Pit box covers, road grates and Eco-Fab tree lifting baskets.
All our Grates, Bollards and Brackets are 'hot dip' galvanised and carry our 10 year structural guarantee.
As well as 'hot dip' Galvanising, we have access to Powder Coating and Electroplating as well, so you have the choice of colour coding your grates to match your surroundings and be un-obtrusive in your specific decor.

RECESSED DRIVEWAY GRATES

These grates slip into a recessed drain and are perfect for new drainage systems. They do not require a frame, They sit 'flush' to the surface and don't 'klang' when they're driven over.
To recess the drain at pouring stage, your concreters will need to add a piece of 30 x 30 timber to the top of their boxing to create the recess for the grate to sit in place once the pour is done, so your top opening will always be the size of the grate, and the body of the drain will be 60mm narrower. ( 30mm deep, 30mm each side. Quieter, neater, & no noisy framework)
A-200-R 200mm wide and 1.0 in length. Load bars at 30 x 5. Side bars at 30 x 5
A-250-R 250mm wide and 1.0 in length. Load bars at 30 x 5. Side bars at 30 x 5.
A-300-R 300mm wide and 1.0 in length. Load bars at 30 x 5. Side bars at 30 x 5.
We try to keep most of these sizes in stock, but it's always a good idea to ring
or fax an order before you need to pick them up.
If we don't have your size in stock, then there will be a 7 to 10 day lead time.

SELF SUPPORTING DRIVEWAY GRATES

These grates fit into older style drains where no recess has been allowed for. The lips of the side angle bars sit over the top of the drain and the unit supports itself. We recommend A.S.A class - C
A-150-SS 150mm wide and 1.0m in length. Side bars at 30 x 30 x 5. Load bars at 25 x 5.
A-200-SS 200mm wide and 1.0m in length. Side bars at 40 x 40 x 5. Load bars at 30 x 5.
A-250-SS 250mm wide and 1.0m in length. Side bars at 40 x 40 x 5. Load bars at 32 x 5.
A-300-SS 300mm wide and 1.0m in length. Side bars at 40 x 40 x 5. Load bars at 32 x 5

PIT-BOX GRATES

All our Pit grates are available in the Self Supporting configuration.
We can also build and supply recessed and Heel safe pit grates
A-300-PM. 300mm x 300mm medium pit grate.
A-450-PM. 450mm x 450mm medium pit grate. also available in the -450-PH heavy grate
A-600-PM. 600mm x 600mm medium pit grate. Also available in the -600-PH heavy grate

GRATE FRAMES

All our grate frames are different sizes in order to match our grates. Should you require a frame, You should contact us to discuss the allowances that need to be made to fit a recessed grate frame (usually another 15mm in width and 6mm in depth for a standard recessed grate within the frame. ) Frames are always set in place before the cement is poured!
Please note: Grate frames are not necessary with our recessed grates; however, we will make and supply them if they are requested.
**Grate Classifications. AS - 3996**
We make grates to a specific standard; every grate we make is rated to classes - B - C - D and E.
Definitions as set out in Australian Standards 3996 (Access covers and grates)
Class - B - (Light duty) - Areas including footpaths and light mowers, not including commercial vehicles.
Class C - (medium duty) - Areas including footpaths, malls and driveways that are accessible to vehicles including slow moving commercial vehicles.
Class D - (heavy duty) - Carriageways of roads and areas open to commercial vehicles.
Class E - (extra heavy duty) - General docks and aircraft pavements.
**Please note that all our grates start at and exceed the 'Class - C' rating. We will only make light weight 'Class B' grates on request. Class B pit grates should be fixed with dyna-bolts to the external drain mouth for security and stability, as they are a light weight grate, and not suitable for any sort of commercial traffic.
